Welcome to the Ross Arts Festival
The variety of events happening over the weekend means there's
something for everyone including local and Tasmanian
sculptors, musicians, writers, artists and artisans.

Set in Stone Set In Stone, The Daniel Herbert Prize, is a new stone sculpture competition to be held as part of the Ross Village Arts Festival in October each year.

The prize gives reverence and pays homage to the creator of the carvings on the Ross Bridge, Daniel Herbert.
Writers Forum The Agony and the Ecstasy, a writers' forum will be presented by three published authors from Ross and Campbell Town.

The theme for this event will be both the pain and the joy involved in the creation of a novel. This event will be open to the public with no entry fee.
Strings in Spring, a classical ensemble at the Ross Uniting Church, is presented by Camerata Obscura, a musical group from Launceston area directed by Christopher Bearman OAM, Classical Violinist and Conductor, born in the UK now residing in Ross.
The concert will include at least two original pieces by Tasmanian composers.

The Arts Market will be in the Ross Town Hall. There will be jewelers, wood craftspeople, painters, photographers, potters, writers, candlestick makers and many more.

There is no charge for the public to attend this event.
